Testimony: From Lukewarm to Fully Alive – Rachel's Story

born again deliverance freedom in christ healing and restoration repentance testimony Feb 19, 2025

Live Kingdom has completely turned my world upside down. I grew up in a Christian home and thought I was walking with the Lord the best I knew how. I truly believed I was a Christian.

Over time, I watched God do a deep work in my family. My parents are divorced and remarried, and for years, they hated each other. But after getting involved in the disciple movement, I saw them start forgiving each other and even spending time together outside of family gatherings. Seeing that transformation shook me.

My mom invited me to a Disciple Discovery class, but I said no. I didn’t feel like I needed another Bible study. My husband and I had been part of small groups throughout our marriage, but at that time, we weren’t in one, and we didn’t feel like we were missing anything. I assumed I had just grown a little lukewarm.

Then, eight weeks later, my mom invited me again, and I finally decided to go. During the second week, Troy was teaching on what it truly means to be saved. He explained that the Greek word sozo means restored to original value. When I heard that, it was like my eyes were opened. I realized—I did not feel restored. I had been carrying all the pain, hurt, and trauma of my life, and I didn’t even know that I didn’t have to.

That moment changed everything. I began to understand repentance. I sought deliverance and was set free from deep grief and childhood wounds. The Lord transformed my heart, gave me a burning passion to know Jesus, and on February 18, 2023, I was born again.

Before this, I didn’t know I could hear the Holy Spirit’s voice. I didn’t know He was a person I could interact with. I thought I knew Him, but I didn’t. Now, I am fully surrendered to Jesus—pursuing Him, following His voice, and laying down my will for His.

This movement has changed my entire family. My husband, my children—everyone has been impacted. I love the people I’m running with because they are genuinely running after Jesus. After missing it for 28 years, I no longer want to be around people who are just adding Jesus onto their lives—I want to surround myself with those who are fully surrendered to Him.

I am forever grateful. Thank you, Troy. Thank you, Live Kingdom. My life will never be the same!
